To seek feedback regarding a proposal to declare a temporary restricted area surrounding Wagga Wagga aerodrome (YSWG) to support a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aerial display on the 06th July 2022.

    The issue

    Points for consideration include:
    1. Lateral and vertical dimensions of the TRA
    2. Date/time (duration) of the TRA

    Purpose

In support of Number 1 Recruit Training Unit (1RTU) graduation ceremony on the 06th July 2022, RAAF 100SQN plan to conduct flypast and aerial display activity overhead YSWG.

    Proposal

The flypast and aerial display is to be conducted by a RAAF Canberra Bomber. Due to the planned flight profile affecting speed and manoeuvrability, together with limitations on cockpit visibility (field of view), a TRA is requested to segregate this activity from civil operations; ensuring public safety.

Proposed TRA - See attachment 1

    CONDITIONAL STATUS: RA2
    MILITARY FLYING
    LATERAL LIMITS: A circle radius 5NM centre on 350957S 1472808E (WG/DME).

Non-participant access: Access to the TRA by non-participants should not be expected unless operating in the support:
    - preservation of life or property (MEDEVAC, FFR, POL, SAR), or
    - a declared emergency
