Reduction of the vertical and lateral dimensions of the Tindal Control Zone in order to allow civil traffic to operate to the west of YPTN/AD, outside 10nm at low levels, without requiring an ATC clearance. Portion of current CTR above 2500ft AMSL and outside 10nm becoming a part of R249. The promulgation of the Tindal Wedge (fully contained laterally within R249) as RA2 airspace, allowing remote services to activate it by NOTAM.
The issue
- Reduction of Tindal CTR.
- Raising of BCTA from SFC to 1500 and 2500 to the west of YPTN/AD at 10nm and 20 nm respectively, returning Mil CTR to Class G
- Expansion of R249 to incorporate remainder of current CTR airspace
- Promulgation of the Tindal Wedge as RA2.
