From 17 to 28 March 2025 the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) will issue a terminal aerodrome forecast 3 (TAF) for Learmonth Aerodrome (YPLM) for the hours 2300 to 0900 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), weekdays only.
Exercise Capricorn Sunset, a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) deployment to YPLM, will take place during the period 17 to 28 March 2025. To support this exercise, the BOM will be issuing a TAF3 for YPLM, between the hours of 2300 to 0900 UTC on weekdays only.
A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) is in place for changes to the YPLM TAF service for the specified period. Note that TAF3 are formatted the same as traditional aerodrome forecast (TAF) but are stamped with ‘TAF3’ in the remark (RMK) section for easy identification. As a premium service, the TAF3 for YPLM will undergo a scheduled in-depth review every hour; it will receive priority, proactive amendments to ensure it contains the latest forecast information.
