    Seeking feedback on conducting a high-power rocket launch of the competition rocket to 30,000ft rocket near Menindee, NSW.

    The issue

    Proposed rocket launching activity on the following dates:

    • Thursday, 4 April 2024
    • Friday, 5 April 2024
    • Saturday, 6 April 2024

    Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) proposed with Controlling Authority.

    Purpose

    To seek feedback on the proposal to establish a TRA due to high-power rocket launching activity.

    New proposal title

    Proposal for a TRA over a 3 day period from 11 am to 4 pm. As part of the procedures for the launch activity, contact will be made with Air Services at least 30 minutes before the flight of the rocket intended to be launched into controlled airspace. This will confirm the activation of the TRA and ensure no objection to the launch timing.
