    JACC requests feedback on proposed Temporary Restricted Airspace (TRA) in support of military Exercise ACES BRAVO 2024 (AB24) 28 May to 06 June 2024.

    The issue

    This proposal notes the following key issues:

    • Activation of TRA required west of RAAF Amberley permanent airspace, conditional status RA2
    • Multiple air routes affected, diversion routes to be published in AIP SUP
    • Access to TRA is limited to aircraft with a declared emergency or undertaking operations in the preservation of life and property.

    Military Exercise ACES BRAVO is a major exercise incorporating a wide range of tactical flying activities west of RAAF Amberley over the period 28 May to 06 June 2024. Four Temporary Restricted Areas (TRA) are proposed to support training while safely separating civil aircraft from military activities.

    The attached document describes this proposal, which includes the use of both permanent and temporary airspace.

    The document also outlines the planned activation windows for temporary airspace.
