RAAF 100SQN plans to conduct a flypast and aerial display activity overhead YSWG in support of Number 1 Recruit Training Unit (1RTU) graduation ceremony for Course 09/22.

    The issue

    Points for consideration include:

    1. Lateral and vertical dimensions of the TRA
    2. Date/time (duration) of the TRA

    Purpose

To seek feedback regarding a proposal to declare a temporary restricted area surrounding Wagga Wagga aerodrome (YSWG) in support of a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aerial display on the 20th July 2022.

The flypast and aerial display is to be conducted by a Cessna Dragonfly. Due to the nature of the aerobatic displays involving high-speed, abrupt manoeuvres and the inability to self-deconflict with non-participants, a TRA is requested to segregate this activity from civil operations ensuring public safety.
