Proposal to establish a permanent Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) operations flying site

The proposed operational area is within a 500 metre radius of a point, centred on the RPA Pilot box, operating a maximum height of 1000 feet AGL.

The proposed location:

• 14 nautical miles (n mile) to the southwest of Millmerran Airfield
• 7 n mile to the southwest of Captains Mountain proposed new windfarm site, refer Aviation Projects Captains Mountain Wind Farm – Aviation Impact Assessment Reference #100506-01.

There are also numerous other uncharted private airfields in the Eastern Darling Downs Region. However, it is not expected that the proposed operations will impact any known charted or uncharted private airfields.

AnFMAGI. is seeking to operate within the operational safety requirements of CASR Part 101, CASR Part 101-3 Schedule 6 Appendix 1 and AC 101-01v4.0. AnFMAGI. operates as a totally separate entity to MAAA and AMAS.

• Multicom Frequency of 126.7MHz
  • Operations Commence: “Millmerran Traffic, Uncrewed RPA operating within a 500m radius of a position 14nm southwest of Millmerran airfield not above 1000’ AGL from (current time) for the next 30 minutes, Millmerran”
  • Operations Cease: “Millmerran Traffic, Uncrewed RPA operations within a 500m radius of a position 14nm southwest of Millmerran Completed operations at (Current time), Millmerran”

To mitigate residual airspace risks posed by the activity, stakeholder feedback is requested on the following:

• Safety
• environment
• national security
• equity of airspace
• any activities scheduled for the same volume of airspace over the same period.
