Insitu Pacific plans to conduct Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations with remotely piloted aircraft near Aramac in November 2025 and is providing information for other airspace users.

    Purpose

Insitu Pacific is planning to conduct BVLOS Remotely Piloted Aircraft operations in the Aramac area and is advising air users about this activity. The period of operation is 9 - 13 November 2025.

Launch and recovery of the Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) will occur from Shandonvale Station. The station is located approximately 12 nautical miles (NM) south east of Aramac and 26NM north of Barcaldine.

The aircraft are 3.1 metre fixed wing (25 kilograms) RPA and will be operated up to 5000 feet above mean sea level (AMSL). The RPA are grey in colour, equipped with a Mode S transponder, and have strobe and navigation lights. A Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) will be published for the period of operation.

RPA pilots will monitor and make regular position broadcasts while airborne on very high frequency (VHF) radio (Aramac, common traffic advisory frequency (CTAF) / Multicom 126.7), and monitor Brisbane Centre (122.1).

Remote pilots will respond to any traffic with RPA position and intentions, engage in procedural de-confliction whenever necessary and give way to crewed aircraft.

Crewed aircraft fitted with ADS-B transponders or pilots publishing their position using the OzRunways electronic flight bag (EFB) will be visible to remote pilots through the ground control station display.
