Airservices is seeking feedback on potential operational implications of the proposed airspace option.

    The issue

Increasing the size of the lower limit (LL) 2500 feet (FT) and 3500 FT Class C steps, predominantly over the northern waters of Moreton Bay, will facilitate the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) ruleset requirements for runway 19 independent parallel runway operations (IPRO) at Brisbane airport and reduce noise impacts on residential areas.

A design option has been developed for the purposes of seeking industry feedback on the potential implications of a change.

Industry feedback will be considered as part of the options assessment and design development process.

Further consultation with stakeholders, including community members, will be conducted as the design process progresses.

    Purpose

Airservices Australia is seeking industry feedback on a proposed change to Brisbane Class C airspace over Moreton Bay to support design development.

    Proposal

Airspace design option to extend the current 2500 FT and 3500 FT steps over northern Moreton Bay by approximately 4 nautical miles.
