We ask industry to consider the effects, if any, on safety and air operations of having the Common Traffic Advisory Frequency (CTAF) of 126.70MHz assigned to the Kens Bore Aerodrome.
Proximity to surrounding Aerodromes
Kens Bore Aerodrome is currently under construction and in the process of becoming certified and would like feedback on safety and operational affects for them to utilise CTAF 126.70MHz
Onslow Iron Pty Ltd is in the process of certifying the Kens Bore Aerodrome. Construction is planned for completion in early December 2022 with air services to commence as soon as practicable after completion of construction. The intended carrier will be providing Airbus A320 (180-seater aircraft) services. The estimated peak passenger number per year are 25,480.
Due to the number of expected weekly services (4 x scheduled aircraft movements a week), there will be no requirement for an Aerodrome Frequency Response Unit (AFRU). Pilot Activated Lighting (PAL) will be made available.
