The NSW Rural Fire Service, in partnership with Western Sydney International Airport is requesting feedback on a proposed Temporary Restricted Area (TRA).

    Purpose

A TRA is proposed to safely separate civil aircraft, allowing larger aircraft to manoeuvre over the airport on 28 October 2025 between 0800-0930 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) and again between 1400-1530 AEDT.

A notice to airmen (NOTAM) will remain in place for the rest of the day, indicating increased emergency service traffic in the area.

    Proposal

    A TRA will be in place on 28 OCT 25 between 0800 – 0930 and 1400-1530 AEDT.

    Lateral limit of:

    • 33.924028S / 150.771755E
    • 33.941605S / 150.580129E
    • 33.787085S / 150.608960E
    • 33.797665S / 150.814289E

This airspace extends from the ground up to 4,500 feet above mean sea level. Aircraft must maintain clearance from Restricted Area R504 at all times. The controlling authority for this airspace is the NSW Rural Fire Service.
