The sounding rocket, a MAD150, will be launched in a northerly direction from the eastern vicinity of Forrest Airport, with an apogee of 25km. The estimated landing area by parachute is expected in an area around 10 km by 10 km north of the airfield. Depending on approval, the estimated launch date will be from mid-December 2025 up to mid-January 2026. The total airborne time is around 6 minutes. The length of the rocket is around 4 meters and the weight at launch is 56kg.
This consultation is to inform all airspace users, overflying or landing at Forrest Airport in WA, that a small rocket will be launched.

Close airspace from north of Forrest airport, area 10 by 10 km for a period of 10 minutes, after launch. The possible launch dates are from mid-December 2025 to mid-January 2026. It will be announced by Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) and on the day of the launch the local area frequency will be used to inform aircraft and for possible commercial aircraft Melbourne centre will be informed.
