Endeavour Aerospace is launching a sounding rocket to 5,000 feet (ft) AMSL, 12 nautical miles (n mile) north-north-east (NNE) of White Cliffs, NSW.

    The issue

A Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) extending radially 5NM from 30.6627S 143.1973E (30°39'45.7"S 143°11'50.3"E) with vertical limits from surface (SFC) to 8000ft AMSL (A080) will be established from 21 to 24 February 2026.

    TRA activation timing:
    • 21 February 2026: 0600 – 1800 Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) (UTC+11)
    • 22 February 2026: 0600 – 1800 AEDT (UTC+11)
    • 23 February 2026: 0600 – 1800 AEDT (UTC+11)
    • 24 February 2026: 0600 – 1800 AEDT (UTC+11)

    Purpose

Endeavour Aerospace is seeking stakeholder input concerning the following, please provide feedback as this will ensure consideration can be made on such issues during the assessment process including safety, environment, national security, equity of airspace, and any activities scheduled for the same volume of airspace over the same period.

    Proposal

Endeavour Aerospace is seeking to conduct multiple high-powered rocket launches at Caradoc Station approximately 12NM NNE of White Cliffs, NSW from 21 to 24 February 2026.

A single TRA is proposed within 5NM of 30.6627S 143.1973E (30°39'45.7"S 143°11'50.3"E). The TRA will have vertical limits of SFC to A080, and Endeavour Aerospace will act as the controlling authority for that volume. Aviation State Engagement Forum (AvSEF) members should check Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) closer to the date to confirm whether the activity is proceeding.

The proponent is in the process of conducting a consultation regarding the activity with known airspace users such as commercial airlines and other stakeholders. The sounding rocket is intended to be launched on 21 February 2026 and 22 February 2026 with the remaining two dates being weather contingencies. In addition to this Endeavour Aerospace will monitor, Class G airspace will for aircraft before and during the launch activities. This will include maintaining a visual watch of the airspace, monitoring very high frequency (VHF) radio transmissions, and finally monitoring automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) transmissions from the area.

Please note that the TRA dimensions mentioned in this consultation are estimates and are subject to change.
