    Seeking feedback to mitigate residual airspace risks posed by rocket launch activities.

    The issue

    Dates:
    28 July - 21 September 2025 

    For temporary restricted areas (TRA) the following windows apply:

    Monday, Tuesday, Friday:

    • 0800 - 0930 Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
    • 1100 - 1230 AEST
    • 1400 - 1530 AEST

    Purpose

    To seek feedback on the proposal to establish multiple TRAs in southwest Queensland.

    Proposal

    Rocket launches within launch windows up to 50,000 feet (ft).

    Dates:
    28 July - 21 September 2025 

    For TRAs the following windows apply:

    Monday, Tuesday, Friday:

    • 0800 - 0930 Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
    • 1100 - 1230 AEST
    • 1400 - 1530 AEST.

    Wednesday, Sunday:

    • 0800 - 0930 Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
    • 1030 - 1130 AEST
    • 1400 - 1530 AEST.

    Thursday, Saturday:

    • 0900 - 1000 Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
    • 1100 - 1230 AEST
    • 1400 - 1530 AEST.

    Temporary Restricted Area (TRA)

    Lateral limits: within 20 nautical miles (n mile) of position 27°36'19.03"S 143°37'29.61"E

    Vertical limits: Surface (SFC) to 50,000 ft

    Controlling Authority: Airservices Australia
