Range Control wishes to extend the airspace height of R290B for the period of 14 - 17 September 2022 for a live fire activity.
To raise airspace around Murray Bridge Training Area, namely R290B, from 14 - 17 September 2022.
A Temporary Restricted Area, TRA-Murray, is requested to extend the vertical height and safely de-conflict this firing activity with over-flying aircraft.
The activity will be conducted on the Murray Bridge Training Area and within the lateral limits of R290AB. Taking into account the mandatory safety buffers for an expected danger height of 8100FT, requires the vertical limit to be extended to 8500FT. As such, an upper limit of 8500FT for TRA-Murray is required to ensure safety of flight.
TRA-Murray is requested for a period of 4 days, 14-17 Sept 2022. The daily airspace activation timings are estimated to be 0800 – 2200 local, however airspace users should consult NOTAMs for accurate timings.
Please note that activations of R290AB may occur without activation of TRA-Murray throughout this period for other activities. Airspace users should refer to NOTAMs for details.
Range Control Murray Bridge Training Area (RCO MUTA) has liaised with affected local operators for feedback on this proposed airspace change. Consultation has so far included Recreational Aviation Australia (RAAUs), Airservices Australia, and Murray Bridge Airfield.
