The issue
Congested airspace with multiple aircraft conducting constant circuits of Mt Panorama
- Transfers from Bathurst Airport to Mt Panorama 8-11 October 2026
- 1 x Bell 407
- 2 x AS350 B3+
- 2 x Bell 206
- 1 x Bell 429
Purpose
Orange Helicopters will be conducting constant scenic flights at Mt Panorama and charter flights from Orange and Bathurst to Mt Panorama from the 8th - 11th of October inclusive. There will be multiple helicopters providing scenic flights and performing non-standard flight manoeuvres over the 4 days period.

Temporary restricted airspace will be declared for the Bathurst 1000 Supercars event. Orange Helicopters will be conducting constant scenic flights at Mt Panorama and charter flights from Orange and Bathurst to at Mt Panorama from the 8th - 11th of October inclusive. There will be multiple helicopters providing scenic flights and performing non-standard flight manoeuvres over the 4 days period.
Segregating the airspace is the safest option for all airspace users over this period.
