    To seek feedback on the proposal to establish a Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) in southern Queensland to support the safe launch of rockets.

    Purpose

    To seek feedback on the proposal to establish a Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) in South-West Queensland to support the safe launch of rockets.

    Proposal

    Rocket launches within launch windows up to 50,000 feet (ft).

    Dates: 03 August - 30 November 2026

    For the TRA the following windows apply:

    Monday, Tuesday, Friday:
    • 0800 - 0930 Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST)
    • 1100 - 1230 AEST
    • 1400 - 1530 AEST
    Wednesday, Sunday:
    • 0800 - 0930 AEST
    • 1030 - 1130 AEST
    • 1400 - 1530 AEST
    Thursday, Saturday:
    • 0900 - 1000 AEST
    • 1100 - 1230 AEST
    • 1400 - 1530 AEST
    TRA SPACEPORT

    Lateral limits: Within 20 nautical miles (NM) of position 27°36'19.03"S 143°37'29.61"E
    Vertical limits: Surface (SFC) to 50,000 ft above mean sea level (AMSL)
    Controlling Authority: Airservices Australia

    Launch windows will be activated by Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) when required. Further detail can be found in the AIP SUP
