    Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) to be established overhead Melbourne Park, Victoria, for a Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Roulettes display on 27 September 2024.

    The issue

    RAAF Roulettes (4 PC-21 aircraft) will conduct a formation aerial display overhead Melbourne Park on the morning of 27 September 2024.

    Purpose

    We seek to engage Melbourne airspace stakeholders with regard to establishing a TRA of short duration over Melbourne Park, which will affect operators in the Essendon (YMEN), Moorabbin (YMMB) and St Kilda areas.

    TRA details

    TRA- 'Roulettes AFL' Aerobatic Display. 
    Lateral limits: Within a 4 nautical mile radius of position 374917S 1445843E (Melbourne Park) excluding the coincident portion of controlled airspace. 
    Vertical limits: Surface to base of the controlled airspace. 
    Hours of activity: Approximately 10:20 -10:45 local time (check NOTAMs) 
    Controlling authority: Department of Defence. No flight permitted without approval of controlling authority.
