    Activation of a Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) is proposed during launch windows for rocketry activities from 8th September - 19th December 2025.

    Purpose

    To seek feedback on the proposal to establish a TRA in southwest Queensland to support the safe launch of rockets.

    8th September - 19th December 2025

    Three launch windows are proposed per day (times in Australian Eastern Standard Time):

    1. Monday, Tuesday, Friday
      0800 - 0930
      1100 - 1230
      1400 - 1530
    2. Wednesday, Sunday
      0800 - 0930
      1030 - 1130
      1400 - 1530
    3. Thursday, Saturday
      0900 - 1000
      1100 - 1230
      1400 - 1530

    Launch windows will be activated by Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) when required. Launches in all windows will be up to FL500.

    Lateral Limits: WI 20 NM of PSN 27°36'19.03"S 143°37'29.61"E
    Vertical Limits: Surface (SFC) to FL500

    Please note that both RNP RWY 31 and RNP W instrument approaches into Thargomindah aerodrome (YTGM) will be unavailable during TRA activation periods (relevant NOTAMs will be published on YTGM).
