Endeavour Aerospace is launching sounding rockets with RMIT HIVE to a maximum altitude of 35,000 feet (ft) above means sea level (AMSL), 12 nautical miles (NM) NNE of White Cliffs, NSW.
Temporary restricted airspace extending radially 8NM from 30.6627S 143.1973E (30°39'45.7"S 143°11'50.3"E) with vertical limits from surface (SFC) to FL380 will be established between 16 to 19 March 2026.
Endeavour Aerospace is seeking stakeholder input concerning the following, please provide feedback as this will ensure consideration can be made on such issues during the assessment process including safety, environment, national security, equity of airspace, and any activities scheduled for the same volume of airspace over the same period.
Endeavour Aerospace is seeking to conduct a series of high-powered rocket launches at Caradoc Station approximately 12NM NNE of White Cliffs, NSW, between 16 - 19 March 2026
Two TRA’s are proposed within 8NM of 30.6627S 143.1973E (30°39'45.7"S 143°11'50.3"E). The Class G TRA will have vertical limits of SFC to FL125, and Endeavour Aerospace will act as the controlling authority for that volume. The second TRA for controlled airspace will have vertical limits of FL125 to FL380 and Airservices Australia Operations Management will act as the controlling authority.
Aviation State Engagement Forum (AvSEF) members should check Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) closer to the date to confirm whether the activity is proceeding. The proponent is in the process of conducting a consultation regarding the activity with known airspace users such as commercial airlines and other stakeholders. The sounding rockets are intented to be launched on 16 and 17 March 2026 with the remaining two dates being weather contingencies.
In addition to this Endeavour Aerospace will monitor, Class G airspace for aircraft before and during the launch activities. This will include maintaining a visual watch of the airspace, monitoring very high frequency (VHF) radio transmissions, and finally monitoring automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast (ADS-B) transmissions from the area.
Please note that the TRA dimensions mentioned in this consultation are estimates and are subject to change.
