To seek feedback on the proposal to establish two Temporary Restricted Areas (TRAs) in Southern Queensland to support the safe launch of rockets.

The issue

Dates: 01/12/2026 to 31/03/2027

Four rocket launch windows each week day (Monday - Friday) as per the following table: 

Table 1: Monday - Friday (AEST) Launch Schedule
Launch No.	Timings
Window 1	0800 - 0900 SFC to FL450
Window 2	1000 - 1100 SFC to FL200
Window 3	1200 - 1400 SFC to FL200
Window 4	1500 - 1600 SFC to FL200

Four rocket launch windows each weekend day (Saturday - Sunday) as per the following table:

FL200 window details: 

Lateral Limits: Within 2.5 nautical mile (n mile) RADIUS OF 28° 07' 42" S 149°42' 06" E 
Vertical Limits: Surface (SFC) to FL200 
Controlling Authority: Airservices Australia

FL450 window details: 

Lateral Limits: within 7 n mile RADIUS OF 28° 07' 42" S 149°42' 06" E 
Vertical Limits: SFC to FL450 
Controlling Authority: Airservices Australia

Launch windows will be activated by Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) when required.
