A proposed Temporary Restricted Area (TRA) to extend the boundary of the Eastern Australian Exercise Airspace (EAXA) off the coast of Nowra.
The issue
The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) training activities cannot be wholly contained within the extant EAXA. As such, the proposed TRA, 'Swordfish', would suitably extend the southeastern boundary of restricted airspace during daylight hours only.
Purpose
To seek feedback on a proposed TRA ‘Swordfish’ to support of RAAF training activities in the EAXA. These activities will include live firing from 17 - 21 April 2023, meaning access to the restricted areas to non-exercise aircraft may be subject to delays.
- This activity will consist of existing EAXA permanent restricted areas, including R495ABC and R453CDEFGHJKLMNP. TRA 'Swordfish' will be established in addition to permanent areas for the purposes of this activity
