RAAF Roulettes Display - Sydney Motorsport Park - 20 to 21 July 2024

To ensure public safety, the Roulettes display will be segregated from other aviation activity through activation of a Temporary Restricted Area (TRA).

The issue

The RAAF Roulette Aerobatic display team will be performing over the Sydney Motorsport Park on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July 2024. Planned events will affect D556A, D539B, and the uncontrolled airspace to the north west of Sydney Motorsport Park, as well as operations above, within civil controlled airspace. Operations into YSBK and YSSY will also be affected.

Purpose

To ensure public safety, a proposed TRA is to be established for Roulettes aerial displays overhead Sydney Motorsport Park on the 20th and 21st of July 2024. Department of Defence requests feedback on this proposal from local area stakeholders including Bankstown Airport operators.

Proposal

Temporary Restricted Area for 6 x PC-21 aerial display is to be established overhead Sydney Motorsport Park (within 4NM of PSN 334814S 1505221E, SFC - A070) for a 25 minute period on the 20th and 21st of July 2024.

Approximate timings:
Saturday 20 July 4:45 am to 5:10 am
Sunday 21 July 5:25 am to 5:50 am

Check NOTAM for confirmed timings. An AIP SUPP will be promulgated along with a TRA NOTAM.
