Major change upcoming at RAAF Tindal: traffic switch to Main RWY 14/32 due to construction completion.
The issue
IMPACTS
1. The aerodrome will be closed from the Friday 12th of December 1500hrs until Monday the 15th of December 0900hrs to facilitate the switch from the temporary RWY 14L/32R to the main RWY 14/32. These works require the shutdown of the aerodrome to complete the final AGL commissioning, pavement markings and minor earthworks.
2. From 0900hrs on Monday 15th December RWY 14/32 will be back in use as the main runway in its ultimate state and there will be no further changes and construction will be complete. Main RWY is CODE 4E(iv) 3353m long x 45 m wide (10.5m wide shoulders on both sides).
