Notice of Rocket Launch Campaign at Sleaford, SA 5607 (14 December to 20 December 2022)

Up to two rockets will be launched from the WW-OLC in Sleaford, SA 5607, on separate dates between 14–20 December 2022. Airspace restrictions will be in place on launch days.

Purpose

In March 2022, Southern Launch ran an AvSEF consultation describing a proposed series of Temporary Restricted Areas (TRAs) to support the launch of two rockets from the Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex (WW-OLC) in Sleaford, SA 5607. This advisory notice is to confirm that these launches will take place on separate dates between 14 and 20 December 2022. Launch schedule updates will be available on the Southern Launch website. NOTAMs will be promulgated in the lead-up to each launch attempt to advise aircraft of the bounds and timing of airspace restrictions. Please note that the TRA boundaries described in the original consultation paper have been modified slightly. See the attached brief for the latest TRA information.
