To inform airspace users regarding the declaration of new permanent Restricted Areas (RA) and Danger Areas (DA) formally used in a temporary nature by Defence in the Northern Territory for military exercises such as Diamond Storm and Pitch Black.

Seeking feedback on four proposed Temporary Restricted Areas (TRA) in Western Australia, and four proposed TRA in the Northern Territory, to support Military Exercise KOOLENDONG 2022. 

Reduction of the vertical and lateral dimensions of the Tindal Control Zone in order to allow civil traffic to operate to the west of YPTN/AD, outside 10nm at low levels, without requiring an ATC clearance. Portion of current CTR above 2500ft AMSL and outside 10nm becoming a part of R249. The promulgation of the Tindal Wedge (fully contained laterally within R249) as RA2 airspace, allowing remote services to activate it by NOTAM.

Skysite wants to hear from VFR operators in NW Qld who may be affected by our launch and landing, as well as any other high-altitude operators in the area.

To seek members feedback on two proposed TRAs and with safe coordination of other airspace ahead of rocket launch activity, with 3 programmed rocket launches, each about one week apart, in late June – mid July 2022.
